The Incident
Time and Location: The crash occurred at approximately 11:07 p.m. on Brunswick Pike (Route 1) northbound, near the Kelly Viaduct and the entrance to the Quaker Bridge Mall.

The Accident: According to the Lawrence Township Police, Rickey was driving a 2012 Honda CR-V when he lost control of the vehicle. The SUV left the roadway and plunged into a nearby body of water.

Emergency Response: A witness reported hearing the crash and seeing the vehicle in the water. Responding officers from the Lawrence Township Police Department, along with the Lawrence Township Fire Department and the Trenton Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team, arrived to find the vehicle submerged.

Outcome: Divers from the water rescue team located Rickey inside the vehicle. He was the sole occupant and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
