The Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) is currently investigating a triple homicide after three people were found dead in a Pflugerville home on the morning of Thursday, May 7, 2026.
Incident and Investigation
Discovery: Deputies responded to a residence in the 17900 block of Civorno Drive around 8:29 a.m. after a relative requested a welfare check because one of the residents did not show up for work.
The Victims: Upon entering the home, authorities discovered three adults who had been fatally shot. While official names are pending positive identification by the Medical Examiner, the victims are described as:
A man in his 60s.
A woman in her 60s.
A man in his 30s.
Detention of Suspect: TCSO identified a person of interest shortly after the discovery. His vehicle was located near Norwood Park Boulevard, and he was detained without incident around 11:45 a.m.
Public Safety Update
Sheriff’s officials have stated they believe this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
Separate Incident: Mass Shooting at Restaurant
It is worth noting that this triple homicide followed a separate violent incident in Pflugerville just 24 hours earlier. On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, a mass shooting occurred at Down South Cajun Eats on FM 1825.
Outcome: One person, identified as 27-year-old Mykal Jones, was killed, and four others were injured when an altercation inside the restaurant spilled into the parking lot.
Status: Multiple people were seen on video firing weapons; Austin Police (who are leading that specific investigation) have detained suspects in that case as well.
