According to local authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 9:55 PM at a busy beachside intersection:

The Turn: A 25-year-old man driving a Toyota 4Runner SUV was traveling eastbound on Reed Avenue. As he made a left-hand turn to head north onto Mission Boulevard, he struck a pedestrian.

The Victim: The pedestrian, identified as a 67-year-old woman, was walking within the northern designated crosswalk of the intersection when the SUV hit her.

Medical Response and Investigation
Paramedics and emergency crews rushed to the scene immediately following the collision.

Injury Update: The 67-year-old woman sustained a fractured pelvis along with other serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was stabilized at the scene and transported via ambulance to a regional hospital for treatment.
